Duo Varsågod

Duo Varsågod (Jenny Demaret: fiddle and nyckelharpa, Elisabet Brouillard: diatonic accordion) plays traditional music for dancing and listening. Though currently based in France, the two musicians met in 2009 in Sweden and have played together ever since, collecting and arranging Swedish folk tunes. They often return to Sweden to continue to learn, understand, and feel Swedish music. Mlles Brouillard and Demaret also play traditional music from France and frequently play for dance.

The nyckelharpa, or keyed fiddle, is a Swedish stringed instrument with Medieval origins. Visitors to the Museum of Jurassic Technology may be familiar with the Museum’s nyckelharpa collection, and with the musician who frequently plays in the rooftop courtyard during open hours.
